As someone who has gone through the entire spectrum of ABRSM examinations from their Graded to their Diploma levels,and even having attained the FRSM in Piano Performance under the old and more rigorous syllabus students will find my personal experiences and familiarity of the requirements Diploma examinations extremely useful in their learning journeys.

Ideally, prospective students should be at least 9 years old.

Lessons can either be held at my residence at Ang Mo Kio on my lovely Yamaha C3 grand piano, or I can travel to your residence for an additional charge based on distance and accessibility.

Unfortunately, please note that I do not do free trial lessons. Prospective students may come to me for a non-obligatory one-off lesson, which will have to be paid for accordingly.

I also do not teach jazz nor pop.

My fees are from $80/hr onwards for all grades as I charge by time, and not by a student’s level playing.

I have a lot of accompanying experience for a large variety of instruments and singers for many different events and purposes.

In addition to Graded music examinations, for which I have instrumentalists and singers, I have also accompanied candidates in the GCE “O” and “A” Level MEP Examinations, as well as for ABRSM and Trinity Diploma Examinations.

In addition to that, I have also accompanied candidates aspiring to enter a Music College or Conservatory to further their studies. One of the people I accompanied even managed to land an offer from Juilliard to pursue her Bachelor degree, but whose offer she eventually declined due to personal reasons.

If you need an accompanist, please don’t hesitate to get in touch for my rates and availability. For accompaniment, I am generally more willing to travel to a candidate’s residence for rehearsals.

ABRSM Grade 5 Theory is an important requirement for anyone wishing to pursue any Graded instrumental examinations with the ABRSM beyond Grade 5. To help meet this requirement, I offer theory lessons for anyone wishing to complete their Grade 5 Theory as quickly as possible to meet this requirement.

Unfortunately, I do not teach Grade 6 to Grade 8 Theory. Any requests will be declined. Beyond Grade 5 theory, I feel that time would be much more better spent on just focusing on playing the piano instead.
